“We are pleased to announce that in 2024 we will once again host the Open Polish Judges’ Championships.
Participants of the championships will compete in two distances: the marathon and half marathon, held on October 6 as part of Silesia Marathon 2024.
Judges constitute a conscious and active professional group. Many of them regularly participate in road races. This season, they will have the opportunity to compete in the second edition of the Open Polish Championships, open to all judges of common courts, administrative courts, military courts, and the Supreme Court, for the President’s Cup of the Association of Polish Judges IUSTITIA.
IUSTITIA is one of the largest judicial associations in Poland, engaging in various initiatives in legal education for the public and promoting the principles of a democratic rule of law. The association is a member of the World Association of Judges (IAJ) and the European Association of Judges (EAJ).
In 2023, Bartłomiej Przymusiński became the Polish Judges’ Champion in the Marathon, while Włodzimierz Wróbel and Joanna Szpunar became the Polish Champions in the Half Marathon.”
Rules of Participation in the Judges’ Classification
- The competition will take place as part of the 16th edition of Silesia Marathon on two distances: marathon and half marathon. All participants in the Open Polish Judges’ Championships must adhere to the regulations of the aforementioned races.
- A participant who wishes to be classified in the championships should, during registration (or when logging into their account), select ‘judge’ in the profession field.
- Additionally, by September 10 this year, please send an email to biuro@iustitia.pl with the following information for participation in the Polish Judges’ Championships: first name, last name, assigned start number received after registering for the chosen distance, and the name of the court where they serve as a judge.
The title of Polish Judges’ Champion in the marathon and half marathon will be awarded in both men’s and women’s classifications provided there are at least 3 male and 3 female participants.
