The 16th edition of the Silesia Marathon is now in the books! The Silesian Stadium once again hosted thousands of runners from all over Poland and many corners of the world. In addition to numerous competitors from Europe, we had the pleasure of welcoming participants from far-off countries such as Canada, Kenya, South Korea, China, Brazil, New Zealand, the Philippines, Algeria, Morocco, Pakistan, and even Zimbabwe.
Alongside the athletes, enthusiastic fans also showed up in large numbers, cheering along the race route and from the stands of the Silesian Stadium.

The weather favored sporting achievements, and many of you set personal records. The competitive level was exceptionally high across all distances. The winners of the race, Laban Cheruiyot (KEN) – 2:16:32 and Aleksandra Tarnowska (POL) – 2:45:08, set new Silesia Marathon records, while Adam Głogowski (POL) – 2:16:48 is among the three fastest Polish marathon runners this year.

Last year’s marathon champion, Paweł Kosek, returned this year to the ultramarathon distance and once again, in a fierce competition on the route with Filip Inglot, won the 50 km distance with a time of 3:08:09. The results achieved, numerous record-breaking performances, and the intense battle for victory in each distance made this year’s event truly exceptional.

We thank all participants for taking part and warmly congratulate you on your achievements!
